I'm Chilean, born in the city of Santiago de Italian descent from my maternal grandfather, perhaps there is my artistic streak but small, I remember my father liked to play the flute and painted in his notebook, beautiful drawings ... stone castles on the edge of cliffs and surrounded them, forests, in charcoal. My studies in the painting are basic, albeit through the internet I found the best schools to learn about this fascinating world. My early works are mostly reproductions some more difficult than others because my desire to learn to master this technique (oil) are uppercase, but I know for certain that you never stop learning what a steady start for me. I learned to Dicssè, Alma Tadema, Arthur Hughes (Old Masters), Shilling Sanjuán, Octavio Ocampo (Contemporary masters.) I once heard someone say that if we copy copiémonos of the best and as my love of painting is huge and my skills are so basic I was at my fingertips, finding information using different tools: Internet, books, magazines, museums, architecture, among others ... It is not easy to nurture alone, because difficulties are present in every minute, every brush stroke to be decided what is believed at the time and most of the time is not right or just the right choice is simpler than we think ... it is vital to I, inner balance and to convey through my lines, that feeling ... the interesting thing is that, looking back at my paintings and feel back to recreate the whole process when I began to paint ... this nurtures and feeds me to advance my knowledge.
"The real beauty of the whole balance becomes, when both the inner and outside are united to form a world of their own, leaving result in a beautiful box made by ourselves." (Iris Carrillo)
"There are times THINKING AND FEELING ONE TURN AROUND AND ARE SO CLOSE, WE CAN DRAW AND CAPTURING THE BRUSH WITH A DREAM." (IRIS CARRILLO)
